Organize Construction Cost Estimate Data

Job ID: 39958907

Budget: $10 – $75 USD

I’m working with a large construction cost estimate and it’s getting unwieldy. I need a fresh spreadsheet that lets me slice the numbers any way I want—both down the columns and across the rows—without breaking formulas.

Scope
• Take my existing estimate file (let me know if you prefer Excel or Google Sheets).
• Pull over every line-item name plus all associated cost factors—materials, labor, overhead, contingencies, anything that drives the final total.
• Rebuild the data in a new workbook so I can sort vertically (by trade, phase, cost type, etc.) and horizontally (show or hide specific cost factors with ease).

What I’m looking for
• Clean, well-labeled tabs: one tab with the raw imported data, one working tab where sorting / filtering happens.
• Simple dropdown filters or a pivot table that lets me quickly isolate any combination of items.
• No macros required—keep it lightweight and easy to share.

Deliverable
A ready-to-use spreadsheet file with my full dataset properly organized, tested to confirm that every total matches the original estimate after the restructuring.

If this sounds straightforward to you, let me know which platform you’ll build it in and how soon you can turn it around.
