Monthly Finance Google Sheets Setup
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m looking for a streamlined Google Sheet that lets me follow my income, expenses, and profit from October 2025 through December 2026 without ever touching a calculator. Here’s what I need built:
• A separate tab for every month (Oct 2025 → Dec 2026) pre-labeled and ready to use.
• One clean summary page that auto-pulls:
– total income, total expenses, and net profit for each month,
– an at-a-glance yearly roll-up, and
– pie and bar charts that update themselves when I add new rows.
• Inside each monthly tab I only want five columns—Date, Description, Category, Amount, Type—kept simple and readable. Categories can stay “standard” (rent, salary, utilities, etc.) but I’d like them broad so I’m not stuck scrolling through long dropdowns.
• All math handled with formulas (SUMIFS, ARRAYFORMULA, maybe QUERY if it keeps things tidy). The moment I add a line item, every total and chart should refresh automatically.
Deliverable
A single Google Sheet, shared back to me, with:
1. Sixteen monthly tabs correctly linked.
2. A summary dashboard that populates as described and renders both pie and bar charts.
3. Locked structure where possible so I can’t accidentally break formulas, yet freedom to add new rows in any month as transactions occur.
Once it passes a quick test with sample data—numbers flow through and charts react—you’re done.
