The work involves reviewing product photos taken in grocery stores and recording specific information into a spreadsheet. Each image contains a single product, and you'll determine whether certain information is present and transcribe it exactly as shown.
Typical fields include:
Barcode present (Yes/No)
Barcode visible (Yes/No)
Date label present (Yes/No)
Date label visible (Yes/No)
Barcode number
Date label type (e.g., Sell By, Use By, Best By, Freshness Date)
Date label value
Additional categorical fields as instructed
Accuracy is much more important than speed.
Requirements
Excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
Ability to read small text in photographs
Reliable internet connection
Able to follow written instructions consistently
Project Details
Temporary project with potential for additional batches of work
Thousands of product images available
Flexible schedule
Paid hourly or per completed image (depending on experience)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with data annotation, labeling, transcription, or quality assurance
Experience with OCR verification or image labeling is a plus but not required
