I regularly paste blocks of raw time values into Google Sheets. They arrive in the hh:mm:ss pattern, but I need them to flip instantly into a single decimal number (“decimal” is the exact format I’m after).
Once the time is converted, the sheet must run straightforward conditional calculations with the IF function—things like flagging entries that exceed a target, returning zero for shortfalls, or applying a custom rate.
Here’s what I need from you:
• A template Sheet (or linked Apps Script macro) that detects new pasted data, converts every hh:mm:ss value to the required decimal figure, and drops the result into a neighbouring column.
• Built-in IF logic ready for me to tweak thresholds and outputs.
• Clean, commented formulas or script so I can extend it later.
