Google Sheets-Keynote Data Sync
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
Every quarter my team and I (only 1–5 people) type a mix of text and numbers into one shared Google Sheet, then spend hours pasting those values into our investor-update Keynote deck. I’m on the latest version of Keynote and I’d like a repeatable automation that connects specific cells in the sheet to specific text boxes or table cells inside the deck so the data flows over automatically.
Here’s what I need the finished solution to do:
• Let me define a mapping between Google Sheet cell references and objects in the Keynote file (slide, object ID, etc.).
• Pull both text and numeric values directly from the live sheet via Google Sheets API.
• Refresh the entire deck with one command (or on a schedule) so the investor slides are always current—no manual copy-paste, no broken formulas.
• Keep the formatting already applied inside Keynote intact when the content updates.
• Provide clear setup instructions so I can reuse or expand the mapping for future decks.
A small AppleScript/JXA utility, a Shortcuts workflow, or a command-line script that calls the Google API are all acceptable as long as the end result is a single-click (or automated) refresh. Deliverables include the working script, any OAuth or API configuration notes, and a short screencast or doc showing the tool in action with my sample deck.
If this sounds straightforward to you, let’s streamline this workflow once and for all.
