Google Sheets Inventory Dashboard
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need a single Google Sheets file that lets me see, drill-down into, and update the stock kept in my godown. The front tab must act as a live dashboard: each row shows an SKU, its current on-hand quantity, and a clearly marked button or hyperlink. When I click that link it should jump straight to a dedicated sheet for that SKU where a running ledger lists every purchase and sale, automatically calculating the balance. Stock is organised strictly by SKU, so no other category structure is necessary.
The dashboard also needs an “Add New SKU” control. A simple Apps Script sidebar, form, or floating button is fine—as long as I can type the SKU, its opening quantity, and any other starter details, press submit, and have the system (a) create the new item sheet with the proper column headers and formulas, and (b) add the SKU to the dashboard with its opening balance.
At any time I want to be able to enter purchase or sale lines on an item sheet and have the main dashboard reflect the change instantly. Only two transaction types are required—Purchases and Sales—so the ledger can be limited to Date, Reference, Qty In, Qty Out, and Balance.
Deliverables

• Auto-generated item sheets with purchase & sale history ledgers
• “Add New SKU” script or menu entry that builds new sheets and dashboard rows automatically
• Clean, protected formulas and clear cell formatting so day-to-day users only enter data where intended
Once the file is in place I’ll test it with a few sample transactions; if balances update correctly and new SKUs generate without manual tweaks, the job is done.
