Google Sheets Guest Check-In Form

I manage a small hotel and I’m finally ready to retire the paper log we’ve been using at the front desk. What I need is a Google Form that captures guest data and feeds it straight into Google Sheets, organised so each check-in automatically lands under the correct date. When I open the sheet and choose, say, 10 January, I want the full list of guests who registered that day—no extra clicking around.

Automation preference
• The whole flow should run through Google Forms (no scripts unless you feel they’re absolutely necessary for the date organisation).
• Either a guest can scan a QR code and fill the form on their phone, or a staff member can enter the details—both scenarios should work seamlessly.

Data to collect
Right now my priority is payment details, but please structure the form so personal or booking fields can be added later without breaking the date-wise view.

Key outcomes I’m looking for
1. A clean, mobile-friendly Google Form branded with our logo.
2. A connected Google Sheet where entries are grouped—or easily filterable—by the calendar date of arrival.
3. Simple instructions so my team can add or tweak fields in the future without touching any formulas.
