Google Sheets Formula

I need a specific formula or script written for Google Sheets to automate one step of a data entry process. It would involve recognizing a cell with a duplicate value in the sheet, and then automatically filling in the remaining cells within that row of data to match those for the duplicate cell that is in a different row (same column) in the sheet.
