Google Sheets Fleet Tracker
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I run a small fleet and want to manage every moving part—from fuel to customer balances—inside one connected Google Sheets workspace. I’m starting with the most critical piece: automated fuel tracking.
Phase 1 – Fuel Tracking (initial milestone)
• Design a structured sheet that captures fuel purchase data, odometer readings, and cost per litre/gallon for each vehicle.
• Build Google Apps Script automations that pull entries from a simple form or import template, log them, and update running totals automatically.
• Generate a live dashboard that highlights spend by vehicle, average consumption, and cost trends.
Phase 2 – Linked Dashboards & Modules (to follow once Phase 1 proves solid)
Shipments, maintenance schedules, employee labour, payments received, and customer balances should feed the same dashboard framework without manual duplication. Use importrange or Apps Script so every sheet stays in sync.
Technical preferences
• Native Google Sheets formulas where practical; Apps Script for triggers, data moves, and clean-up.
• Clear documentation so I can add vehicles or new cost centres later.
When you apply, attach a detailed project proposal outlining:
1. Your step-by-step plan for Phase 1.
2. The automations or scripts you’ll write.
3. Estimated timeline and checkpoints.
4. Links to past Google Sheets or Apps Script builds if available.
I’ll review proposals and pick one freelancer to deliver the functional prototype quickly, then expand into the full fleet management system.
