Google Sheets & Excel Inventory Tracker
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need a dual-format inventory tracker that works the same way in Google Sheets and in Microsoft Excel for my line of physical products. The file should let me see stock on hand at a glance, record every movement in and out, and warn me when any item drops below its reorder point. It also needs to remain fully editable so I can grow the catalogue without breaking the formulas.
Core requirements
• One master list that holds SKU, product name, cost, selling price and current quantity.
• Automatic balance update whenever I add a purchase, a sale or an adjustment.
• A clean dashboard sheet that totals inventory value and highlights low-stock items.
• Seamless switching between Google Sheets and Excel; if you use Apps Script or VBA, include a no-code fallback so the file still works in both platforms.
Deliverables
- Google Sheets file, ready to copy to my Drive
- Matching Excel workbook (xlsx)
- Quick-start guide showing how to add products, insert transactions and extend the ranges
- Any auxiliary scripts clearly commented
Once we agree on the structure I’ll share sample product links to make sure the layout suits real-world data. Feel free to suggest extra touches such as automatic stock updates from a CSV, sales analytics or product categorisation if you can keep them compatible with both platforms.
