Google Sheets Car Rental Record keeping

Job ID: 40374441

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

**********(This task is only for females)************
I run a small rent-a-car service and need a well-structured Google Sheets workbook that lets me keep every aspect of the operation in one place while still being easy to update manually, transaction by transaction.

Here’s what I must be able to do inside the file:

• Enter each booking once and have customer details, pick-up / return dates, and the assigned vehicle cascade automatically to the relevant logs.
• Record rent received by payment type (cash, bank transfer, online gateway). I currently type these in manually; smart drop-downs or data-validation that minimise input errors would be ideal.
• Capture all running expenses—fuel, maintenance, repairs—as well as traffic fines and tolls with date, vehicle and brief reason.
• See how much every vehicle earns over any chosen period, even if a car is out on multiple overlapping rentals.
• Generate clean daily and weekly Income, Expense and Profit reports at the click of a button (a dashboard, pivot tables or query sheets—whatever you feel is most reliable).
• Keep the sheet protected where formulas live, yet flexible enough for staff to add today’s rentals without breaking anything.

Acceptance criteria:
1. A single Google Sheets file shared to my Google account, with edit rights.
2. Separate, clearly named tabs for Bookings, Payments, Expenses, Vehicle Log, Fines/Tolls, and automatic Reports.
3. Built-in formulas / queries that populate the vehicle-wise earnings and the summary profit figures with zero extra input from me.
4. Sample dummy data included so I can test each flow before we go live.
5. Brief, inline instructions or a short Loom video showing how to add a new rental and pull the reports.

If something in my current manual approach can be streamlined further, I’m open to your suggestions—just keep everything within Google Sheets so the team can access it from anywhere.
