Google Sheets-Based Project Tracker Development

I have a small side biz as a consultant, CAD draftsman, engineer. I have about four clients and I take care of the drawings and permits needed for there customer construction projects. I need a good way to track the status of each project. I currently created my own zoho database which is very basic. I'm switching over to google so I need someone that knows the ins and outs of google sheets and related apps/tools. would like to have a new database to store and track my projects. The basics would be a main page or dashboard where I can see projects that have not been started, projects that are currently in review, projects that are on hold. there should also be either on that page or within a click a form to add a new customer. It would be nice to be able to know how long a project has been at that stage with a quick glance, for instance how many working days has John Smiths patio cover been at the city of Phoenix or how long as a new project been sitting in the que before I started working on it. Beyond that the wish list would be - automatic emails at different milestones updating the client, link to google documents for storing plans and engineering for a specific project-maybe within the customer page??
