I have a spreadsheet containing 145 EU company websites. Your task is simple: open each site, locate the VAT (tax) number displayed anywhere on the pages—footer, legal notice, contact page, terms & conditions, etc.—and record it in the sheet.
If a VAT number is missing after a reasonable search, write “Contact required” in the VAT column. When a site will not load at all, flag it as “dead.”
Deliverable: a fully updated spreadsheet with one of three entries for every row— the correct VAT number, “Contact required,” or “dead.” Please work neatly in the existing file, keep original ordering intact, and double-check that each VAT follows the format used by the company’s country (e.g., DE123456789, ES-B12345678). Google Sheets or Excel is fine; I will handle conversion.
