Automated Mobile‑Friendly Website Audit & Lead Outreach System
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
This project creates a fully automated Make.com workflow that starts with a Google Sheet of website URLs and ends with personalized outreach emails sent to qualified leads. Once the URLs are added to the sheet, the entire process runs on its own—no manual steps.
Workflow Overview
The system connects four main components:
Google Sheets – stores all website URLs
Make.com – runs the automation end‑to‑end
Google Mobile‑Friendly Test API – checks each website
Instantly – sends personalized cold emails to qualified leads
Step‑by‑Step Automation Flow
1. Read URLs from Google Sheets
Make.com connects to a Google Sheet that contains a column of website URLs.
Each URL becomes an item the scenario processes automatically.
2. Run Google’s Mobile‑Friendly Test
For every URL, the workflow calls Google’s Mobile‑Friendly Test API and retrieves:
Mobile usability issues
Overall mobile‑friendly score or pass/fail result
Screenshot preview of the mobile rendering
These results are captured for each website.
3. Write Results Back Into Google Sheets
The workflow updates the same row with:
Mobile‑friendly score
List of issues
Screenshot link
Pass / Fail flag for quick filtering
This turns the sheet into a sortable dashboard of winners and losers.
4. Generate a Visual Comparison (Mobile vs. Desktop)
The system creates a side‑by‑side comparison image showing:
How the site looks on mobile
How it looks on desktop
A link to this comparison image is added to the sheet for fast review.
5. Send Personalized Emails Through Instantly
If a website fails the mobile‑friendly test or has major issues:
The workflow sends the lead into Instantly via API
Instantly triggers a cold email that includes:
Their specific score
Their top mobile‑usability issue
A preview of how their improved site could look
This makes the outreach highly personalized and relevant.
Goal of the System
To create a hands‑off, end‑to‑end audit and outreach engine that:
Identifies businesses with non‑mobile‑friendly websites
Shows them exactly what’s wrong
Demonstrates how their site could look after improvements
Automatically sends them a personalized cold email
Requires zero manual work once URLs are added to the sheet
Simple Summary (Your Original Idea, Cleaned Up)
Make.com reads website URLs from Google Sheets
It runs each URL through Google’s Mobile‑Friendly Test
It writes the results back into the sheet
It generates a mobile vs. desktop comparison image
It sends qualified leads to Instantly to trigger personalized emails
