Add to and update an existing Google spread sheet using google forms

I have a customer contact list and I wish to create a Google form to add a new customer or update the existing customer's information (Stored as a google sheet). The form must automatically populate with data if its an existing customer. Unique IDs are present in the sheet. My employees, myself or the customers themselves will be filling the forms.
