Simplify waypoints onto a google map embedded onto a webpage
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
There is an API which outputs lots of longitude/latitude points. They show tracking information of delivery people.
I want to make this tracking information public, but the tracking is very detailed, and I think shows too much information.
Attached are 3 files...
json.txt: example output of the API. Also contains a reference at top about what the values are.
existing.png: it shows what it would look like if you plotted the data in json.txt on google maps, exactly as it is
goal.png: this shows a mock-up of what we'd like to see. We've done this manually in graphics software.
In particular, there are some things happening in goal.png...
1. The tracking is very simplified (e.g. we've removed lots of data in between to create a smoother and less detailed line)
2. We've removed the first 10 and last 10 data points, and this risks highlighting where the delivery person lives
