Reduce Google API calls for Maps

Our existing system is contacting the Google Maps API for every request, which is making our bill very high. I would like to implement a new system architecture based on the attached image, which will reduce the number of API calls by caching the results.

Please apply this architecture for Maps only, and we will implement it for other services later.

Requirements:

Experience with Google Maps API
Experience with caching systems such as Redis or Memcached
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities:

Implement the new system architecture for Maps
Test the new system to ensure that it meets all requirements
Deploy the new system to production
