Comprehensive Map Annotation Project
Budget: $750 – $1,500 CAD
Google Maps / OSM – Annotate Map in various ways.
This will be a created to be dropped into an existing website – this needs to be responsive design so that I can also work from a cell phone screen. (see: “planning_image.png” this will be similar to the end product expectation)

Map Features required:
1. Create a “new” Map annotation (New Preplan) – which will save everything about the map icons and annotations.
2. Search and pan/zoom to a specific address
3. Ability to toggle between several different map tile & theme views ( Google Map/ Google Sat / OSM ) views (dark mode, custom tiles?)
4. Draw “footprint” polygon of the “building”
a. If a building polygon already exists on the google/osm map – if it can simply be selected an used (auto draw polygon to same shape) that would be perfect.
5. Ability to draw the driveway / access road.
6. Ability to define how many “levels” there are on the building (Main Level, Basement, 2nd Floor, etc)
7. Easily toggle between the levels and show the corresponding icons that are set and saved for each level.
Polygon Features required: (see image: Pre-Planning Maps - Annotations.png)
8. Ability to draw other “polygons” as required and set different colors / labels
9. Ability to set the “Transparency level” of the polygon
10. Ability to set the “line width” of the polygon
11. Ability to “name” the polygon
Annotate Map with Map Markers:
12. Ability to add as many icons to the “preplan” and define if they are to be shown for all “levels” or only on “Basement”
13. Ability to add labels
14. Ability to remove any icons / polygons / labels
Upload & Overlay blueprint on “Footprint”:
15. I would like the ability to upload “add blueprint” images that can be shrunk down, and overlaid within the “footprint polygon”
a. Should be able to upload this on a per “level” basis (Main Level, Basement, 2nd Level)
b. Image uploader should be able to attempt to remove the blueprint off its background leaving only the “Blueprint”
i. Perhaps there is the ability that when the blueprint photo is uploaded, it allows you to “hide” colors from the image or only show certain colors (ie: Strip the white background off”
ii. Example image would be: “Blueprint - Overlay Me on Building.png” attached to this project
16. Ability to add / upload photos & Other PDF/Image/attachments
Saving of Work:
17. Work should be “auto saved into a “temp” table until its officially saved – just in case something crashes or a connection is lost, all the work wont be lost.
18. Version control – everything should be version controlled and all old revisions should be kept until manually deleted.
Database – MySQL:
19. All map marker overlays & additional polygons should be saved in a Json fields within a MySQL DB. I would would like the “footprint” polygon to be saved in its own DB field as we will be displaying these all on the map to be selectable.
This should be a complete drop in solution that works on both desktop & cell phone – there may be other features that are required but not specified above. Please confirm any details or suggestions
