I would like to create an interactive map that matches riders to carpool on existing routes. Users should be able to enter their pickup and drop-off location and any specific requirements, and the interactive map should connect them with different route options available based on the data in the map. The results should be highlighted on the map and also displayed as a list for the rider to connect.
This is for the long distance moving industry. There are a lot of trucks moving cross country with free space, and there are a lot of shippers headed in the same direction, around the same dates, that could take advantage of the free space. Creating this map would give shippers the transparency to find routes with empty space and establish a line of communication.
