Expert ApliCAD User for Roof Measure Drawings

**Roof Measurement Specialist – ApliCAD XML Export**

**Overview**
We are building a roof measurement service and need experienced ApliCAD users to produce accurate roof measurement drawings exported as XML files. You will receive a property address and are responsible for sourcing your own imagery and producing a completed, accurate measurement.

**What We Need Per Job**
For each address provided, you will:
- Source your own aerial/satellite imagery using Google Earth, Google Maps, Nearmap, or any tool you prefer
- Open ApliCAD and trace the full roof geometry from that imagery
- Identify and label all roof planes, edges, ridges, hips, valleys, eaves, rakes, and step flashings
- Assign correct pitch to each facet based on your imagery and judgment
- Export the completed drawing as an ApliCAD XML file

**Required XML Output Must Include**
- All FACE elements with correct area (sf), pitch, and orientation
- All LINE elements correctly typed: FASCIA, HIP, RIDGE, VALLEY, GABLE, STEP, APRON
- All POINT coordinates
- Accurate total roof area in squares
- Correct pitch per facet — not assumed, must reflect actual roof geometry

**Typical Job Complexity**
Residential roofs ranging from simple gable/hip (4–6 facets) to complex multi-section homes (20+ facets).

**Requirements**
- Licensed copy of ApliCAD Roof Wizard or equivalent ApliCAD product capable of XML export
- Your own access to aerial imagery (Google Earth Pro, Nearmap, or similar)
- Demonstrated experience with residential roof measurement
- Turnaround of 2–4 hours per roof during business hours
- Accuracy within 5% of actual measurements
- English communication required

**Nice to Have**
- Experience with EagleView, RoofScope, Hover, or similar measurement platforms
- Background in roofing estimation or construction
- Familiarity with pitch notation (X/12) and roofing terminology
- Experience using Google Earth oblique/Street View for pitch estimation

**Deliverables Per Roof**
1. ApliCAD XML export file
2. Screenshot of the completed drawing for QA verification
3. Brief note on imagery source used and any areas of uncertainty

**Pay Structure**
This is an hourly contract. We will start with a short paid trial on a property we have verified measurements for to evaluate accuracy and speed before ongoing work. Hourly rate is negotiable based on experience and demonstrated output quality.
