# WordPress Content Population Freelancer Needed for Travel Website
We are looking for a careful, capable freelancer to help populate a travel website using content that has already been prepared by our content team.
This is primarily a **WordPress content population role**, rather than a content writing or development project. The successful freelancer will be responsible for adding content into a structured WordPress website, selecting the correct fields, sourcing approved imagery, checking the front-end output and tracking progress accurately.
## Project Overview
The website uses several custom post types and page templates, including:
* Tour Types
* Destinations
* Locations
* Country-Level Accommodation Overview pages
* Region-Level Accommodation Overview pages
* Accommodation pages
* Itineraries
Each page type has a predefined structure and uses **Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)** to control the content shown on the front-end.
We will provide:
* Detailed instructional documentation for each page type
* Prepared content in Google Docs
* A Google Sheets content tracker
* Access to the WordPress staging website
* Access to approved image sources
## Key Responsibilities
The freelancer will be expected to:
* Create and populate WordPress posts using the correct custom post type
* Add content into the appropriate ACF fields
* Work with ACF field types such as text fields, WYSIWYG editors, image fields, galleries, repeaters and post object relationships
* Set page URLs using the Permalink Manager section where provided
* Add SEO titles and meta descriptions using Yoast SEO where provided
* Select the correct destination, location, tour type or accommodation relationships
* Source and select appropriate imagery from approved sources
* Preview each page on the front-end and check that it displays correctly
* Track progress accurately in Google Sheets
* Leave comments in the content tracker where content, imagery or information is missing
## Approved Image Sources
To avoid copyright issues, imagery may only be sourced from:
* The existing Nkuringo Safaris website
* The staging website’s WordPress Media Library
Images must not be sourced from Google Images, stock websites or other third-party sources unless we have specifically approved them.
## Required Skills
The ideal freelancer should be comfortable with:
* WordPress content management
* Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
* Custom post types
* WordPress Media Library
* Google Docs
* Google Sheets
* Yoast SEO
* Following structured documentation and repeatable processes
A Google Account is required, as the project documentation and content tracker will be shared through Google Docs and Google Sheets.
## Important Working Style
We are looking for someone who has a good head on their shoulders and can work independently without needing every small detail explained.
Some of the content or imagery may be incomplete, so the freelancer should be able to make sensible decisions and extrapolate from the information available.
For example, they should be comfortable:
* Understanding which locations belong to which countries
* Identifying which imagery is appropriate for a destination, region, accommodation or itinerary
* Finding suitable images within the approved sources
* Recognising when a page is missing required content
* Leaving clear comments when something cannot be completed
* Avoiding incorrect assumptions when the available information is genuinely unclear
## Content Tracking Process
The project will be managed through a Google Sheets tracker.
* Pages marked as **Prepared** are ready to be populated
* Once a page has been completed, the freelancer should mark it as **Populated**
* If there are any problems, a comment should be left on the relevant row
* Some content will still be prepared by our content team while population work is underway
The freelancer will be asked to work through the page types in a specific order so that related posts and relationships are available when needed.
