I am looking for a highly meticulous and detail-oriented freelancer to transfer data from a scanned PDF document into a Google Docs template. The goal is to create a Google Docs file that is a visually identical replica of the source PDF in terms of both content and structure.
The Task:
You will be provided with two files:
1) Source File: A 23-page, poor-quality scan of a French financial/tax document from 2011.
2) Template File: A Docx file that has a similar structure but contains different data.
Your job is to replace the content (all text and numbers) in the Google Docs template with the exact content from the 2011 source PDF, ensuring the final formatting perfectly matches the source PDF.
(Note: You may convert the PDF into Google Docs/Docx directly if that is easier for you; in that case, you can disregard the provided Docx file.)
Key Challenges:
a) Low-Quality Scan: The source PDF is a scan, and standard OCR software has failed to parse it accurately. This will require manual data entry.
b) Complex Formatting: The document contains numerous complex tables with merged cells, varying text alignments, and vertically oriented text. Replicating this layout perfectly in Google Docs is the most critical part of the task.
c) Language: The document is in French. While fluency is not strictly required, you must be comfortable working with French text and accurately transcribing all special characters (e.g., é, à, ç).
Required Skills:
1) Expert-level proficiency in Google Docs, especially with advanced table formatting (merged cells, text direction, precise alignment, spacing).
2) Proven experience in high-accuracy data entry from scanned documents or PDFs.
3) Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a pixel-perfect result.
4) (Preferred but not mandatory) Familiarity with the French language.
Deliverables:
A single, finalized, and shareable Google Docs file that is a structurally and textually accurate copy of the 23-page source PDF.
