Supabase Storage Migration to Saudi GCP

Job ID: 40122479

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I am the founder of a SaaS platform currently built on Supabase. To comply with Data Residency regulations in Saudi Arabia, I need to migrate my data storage (Database & Object Storage) to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Saudi Arabia Region (e.g., Dammam/me-central2).

I am a non-technical founder who loves the low-code/ease-of-use nature of Supabase. I do not want to abandon Supabase. I want to keep using the Supabase Studio/Dashboard and its APIs, but the underlying infrastructure must be hosted on GCP in Saudi Arabia.

The Challenge: Since Supabase Managed Service is AWS-based, I understand this likely requires Self-Hosting Supabase (via Docker/Kubernetes) on a Google Cloud Compute Engine or GKE in the Saudi region.

Scope of Work:

Architecture & Setup: Deploy a self-hosted instance of Supabase on Google Cloud (Saudi Arabia Region).

Migration: Safely migrate all existing user data (Postgres) and files (Storage) from the current managed Supabase project to the new GCP setup.

Configuration: Ensure Authentication, APIs, and the Supabase Studio dashboard are working correctly.

Documentation (Critical): Provide a clear, step-by-step guide on how to manage this new setup. Since I am non-technical, the solution must be as low-maintenance as possible.

Requirements:

Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically managing resources in the Saudi Arabia region.

Deep experience with Supabase (Self-Hosting), Docker, and PostgreSQL.

Experience with Data Migration and Data Sovereignty/Residency compliance.

Ability to explain technical concepts simply.
