Hybrid Cloud Migration & Security Enhancement
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm seeking a professional to assist with migrating our on-premises IT infrastructure to a hybrid cloud environment with a strong emphasis on data security.
Current Infrastructure & Goals:
- We operate on-premises systems but have a distributed workforce.
- The goal is to create an "office everywhere" environment enabling secure, location-independent data access.
Existing Infrastructure:
- 30-50 SAN devices for storage.
- 11 Virtual Machines (VMs) and 5 physical servers.
- QuickBooks Enterprise servers dedicated to the accounting department.
- User groups include Accounting, Legal, Executive, and General Users.
Cloud Migration Status:
- A Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) has been established with a SonicWall tunnel connected to our VPC network.
- One VM has been deployed on Google Cloud.
- We're looking for a professional who can work with us, as we prefer a hybrid cloud approach.
Key Requirements:
- Estimate the time to complete the migration.
- Identify opportunities for effective cost-cutting.
- Guide us on how to migrate our on-prem data and servers to GCP.
Concerns:
- Our primary concern during the migration process is Data Security.
- We're particularly interested in implementing Multi-factor authentication and Access control policies.
Priority:
- The highest priority for migration is our Storage (SAN devices).
Ideal candidates should have:
- Extensive experience with hybrid cloud migration.
- Proven track record in implementing high-level data security measures.
- Expertise in SAN device migration.
- Ability to provide cost-effective solutions.
