Project Overview
We are building a proprietary algorithmic trading system hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), using Interactive Brokers (IB) as the brokerage for live market data and order execution. This is a serious, long-term project — Phase 1 is the foundation that all future phases will be built on.

We need a skilled developer who has hands-on experience with the Interactive Brokers API (TWS API / IB Gateway), GCP infrastructure, and Python-based financial data systems. You will set up the cloud environment from scratch, build the IB connectivity layer, create the Python database, and deliver clean, documented, production-quality code.

This is not a one-off script job. You are building infrastructure that will run live capital. Reliability, security, and documentation are non-negotiable.



Important: Interactive Brokers API Context
IB connectivity runs through either TWS (Trader Workstation) or IB Gateway, both of which must be running on the GCP VM for the API to function. You must have prior experience managing IB Gateway in a headless Linux server environment. This is a common complexity point and a key reason we require demonstrated IB API experience.
