Project: Improve Chrome Extension for Poker Strategy Analysis on PokerNow.club
Project Overview
I’m looking for a developer to enhance an existing Chrome extension that connects to PokerNow.club game tables and provides real-time analysis and strategy support during poker games. This extension is for personal training and educational use only — to help improve strategic decision-making in live online poker sessions.
The base functionality is already implemented: it connects to the table, reads the game state (cards, pot, actions), runs simple decision logic (call, fold, raise), and collects basic opponent stats. However, the logic, analysis accuracy, and reliability need major improvements.
Current Status
Extension successfully connects to tables and reads hand states (cards, pot size, player actions).
Simulates basic actions based on simple logic.
Collects basic opponent statistics.
Hand evaluation uses embedded code (no external libraries due to CSP restrictions).
Problems to Address
Logic is overly passive — folds too often, rarely raises.
Sometimes performs a call followed immediately by a fold (inconsistent behavior).
Freezes during long sessions, requiring manual reload.
Equity and pot odds calculations are inaccurate.
No dynamic adaptation based on opponent behavior.
Instant actions make the play unrealistic (no simulated delays).
Required Improvements
1. Bug Fixes
Eliminate freezing/crashes during prolonged use.
Fix inconsistent logic (e.g., calling and folding immediately after).
2. Strategic Logic Updates
Implement solid preflop and postflop logic (position, ranges, draw analysis).
Support correct equity calculations for multiway pots.
Improve expected value (EV) and pot odds evaluations.
Add logic for aggression and bluffing when appropriate.
3. Opponent Profile Integration
Use collected player data (fold rate, aggression level) to influence suggested actions.
4. Action Timing
Simulate natural delays (1–10 seconds) before actions based on decision complexity.
5. Extension Architecture
Maintain or improve DOM integration with PokerNow.club.
All evaluation logic must remain embedded locally (no external libraries due to CSP).
Final output should be a fully loadable unpacked Chrome extension folder.
Tech Stack
JavaScript / TypeScript
Chrome Extensions API
Embedded poker evaluation libraries
DOM analysis and interaction
Deliverables
Updated, stable extension with improved decision logic
No freezing or crashes during extended gameplay
Clean, readable, and maintainable code
Short install & usage guide
Clear documentation of implemented logic and strategies
Ideal Candidate
Solid experience developing Chrome extensions
Familiarity with poker rules and strategy
Understanding of HTML DOM parsing and basic AI/game logic
Bonus: background in probability, game theory, or poker simulations
Note
This is a research and educational tool — not for public use or distribution. The goal is to improve personal strategic awareness in real-time poker play through live hand evaluation and decision support.
Let me know if you'd like help formatting this for a job post or attaching supporting files (like code snippets or screenshots).
