I am seeking an experienced developer to help with a Google Sheets integration project involving Google Apps Script and OpenAI's GPT-4 API. The goal is to create a solution that processes data from a Google Sheet, interacts with the OpenAI API, and updates the sheet based on the results.
Project Overview:
Google Sheets Setup: I have a Google Sheet with specific columns for input data, instructions, and output. The input field is in column 3 ([GPT_Data]), the instructions field is in column 4 ([GPT_Instructions]), and the output field is in column 5 ([GPT_Output]).
Trigger Mechanism: The Google Sheets document is updated by AppSheet. The script should process data when it is updated and trigger the API call accordingly.
Script Requirements:
Fetch Latest Data: The script should get the most recent data from column 3 ([GPT_Data]) and use this data to generate a request for the OpenAI GPT-4 API.
Call OpenAI GPT-4 API: Send the data to OpenAI’s API and retrieve a response.
Update Google Sheet: Write the response back to column 5 ([GPT_Output]).
Ensure Non-Stop Operation: The script should work even when the Google Sheet is not open and should handle potential errors gracefully.
