Google play store api to programmatically install app on chosen device

Hey all I've been looking into the Google Play Store API and haven't yet found a function that would allow me to do the following - but programmatically - which would get a list of apps (be it top 10 or by me searching) and be able to automatically choose the tablet device I want it to install on.
Currently you have to go to the play website, search for the app, click the install button, select the device to install on from the dropdown and then hit install.
I've seen mentioned this Play Install Referrer API but not quite sure that's going to do what I am wanting?
So, is there such an API that can do that?
