Project Overview

I am looking for an experienced WordPress SEO specialist to perform a comprehensive on-page SEO audit and implement all required fixes on one of our existing websites.

This is an established local service business website that requires technical and on-page SEO improvements to improve rankings, crawlability, user experience, and organic traffic.

Scope of Work

The successful freelancer will:

On-Page SEO Audit
Perform a complete SEO audit of the website.
Identify all on-page SEO issues affecting rankings and indexing.
Provide a clear report of findings and recommended actions.
SEO Fixes & Optimisation
Optimise title tags and meta descriptions.
Review and fix H1, H2, H3 heading structure.
Improve keyword targeting and page relevance.
Optimise internal linking structure.
Fix duplicate or missing metadata.
Review and optimise image alt tags.
Check and fix canonical tags.
Improve URL structure where required.
Optimise schema markup (Local Business, Service, FAQ, etc.).
Identify and fix thin or duplicate content issues.
Improve content structure and readability.
Technical SEO Checks
Review XML sitemap.
Review robots.txt configuration.
Check indexing issues.
Identify and fix crawl errors.
Review mobile usability.
Improve Core Web Vitals where practical.
Fix any WordPress SEO plugin configuration issues (Yoast, Rank Math, etc.).
Deliverables
Detailed SEO audit report.
List of issues found.
All approved fixes implemented on the website.
Summary of completed work.
Recommendations for ongoing SEO improvements.

Required Skills

Proven WordPress SEO experience.
Strong understanding of local SEO.
Experience with technical SEO audits.
Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or similar tools.
Ability to implement fixes directly within WordPress.
