Request for Scan and Fix of Australian Affiliate Site Google Analytics Code.
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
- What is our web site?
- We run an affiliate website called WhatPhone which has been live now for the better part of a decade.
- The website is based in Australia and services the mobile telecommunicatins niche offering information on SIM plans.
- What are the technical details of WhatPhone.com.au?
- The site is coded in Wordpress and always have been.
o We have multiple templates in Wordpress on the site including a blog template, and a large number (70 or so) landing pages, spread across 3 or 4 different templates.
o Our goal is to provide users with information in an affiliate table which guides visitors to their partners.
o We use Doubleclick and Google Tag Manager across the site.
We consider Doubleclick, to be the most accurate source of information we have - (since that is what our partners pay us on!)
We do also have existing Google Analytics code on the site but it is a long time since it was reviewed.
o Like most ‘in production’ sites, ours changes constantly. We are just now implementing a PHP page which is different to the other templates we have.
- The key metrics we want to measure in GA are :
o UVs
o Conversions ( = Clicks to partners )
By page
o Page views
o Acquisition channel (e.g. SEM, SEO, etc)
- What documentation is in existence for the site?
- We have the original implementation guide which was produced when the GA code was put in place. Things (the IA and design of the site) have changed a lot since we used that and put the code on the site the first time but it should give you a good idea of what we want and how things are set up.
- What are we asking you for?
- We want to audit the Google Analytics implementation we have to ensure it is accurate.
o And GTM audited and functioning.
- The milestone for this work will be released when all 4 of these items are complete.
o An audit of our site has been completed by you and you have communicated the results of the audit over email.
o The GA code on the site has been implemented and we are reasonably satisfied the code is producing accurate results (using comparison with conversions to partners from Doubleclick.)
o You have updated the site Google Analytics specification documentation to accurately reflect the GA such that a new Google Analytics expert would understand how you have established the GA code on the site. (note, we will check this document with a second GA expert before the milestone is paid.)
o You have reviewed this job specification with me and agreed these 4 things are complete.
