Job ID: 38145650

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I am seeking help to enhance my website data tracking and analysis capabilities. This will involve setting up Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager. The main aim is to track our website visitors, understand their behavior, and refine our marketing strategies accordingly.

The project specifics include:

- Configuring GA4 and Tag Manager for an analytics and tag manager tracking setup.
- Specifically, we need to monitor clicks on certain buttons/links as well as the creation of custom, project-specific trackers.

The ideal candidate should have a solid background in:

1. GA4 and Tag Manager set up

Configure Google Analytics 4 using Google Tag Manager (GTM) code

EventsPass allows event organizers to track their audience by utilizing Google Tag Manager (GTM) code. Please follow the instructions below to configure Google Analytics 4 for your event.

Note: A Google Analytics 4 account and a Google Tag Manager account with Admin access will be required to configure analytics.

--

Google Analytics 4
1 Copy the event URL https://www.eventspass.com/event/nibs24 to the clipboard Copy
2 Login to your Google Analytics 4 account and create a new property for the event using the event short name Newport Bt Show
3 Create a new “Data Stream“ of type “Web“ within the property by entering the event URL copied and note the “Measurement ID“ in the format “G-XXXXXXXXXX“
4 Navigate to the “Admin“ section and confirm the correct “Account“ and “Property“ is selected
5 Click on “Conversions“, select the “New conversion event“ button, enter the event name as “paymentConfirmed“, and “Save“ (Note that “events” will be automatically logged in GA4 once the GTM has been configured correctly.)

Google Tag Manager
1 Login to your Google Tag Manager account
2 Navigate to the “Admin“ section and create a new container by entering a container name “Newport Bt Show“ and the target platform as “Web“. (Note the GTM code in the format “GTM-XXXXXXX“)
3 Copy the GTM code <head> tag from the GTM portal and paste it into the “GTM Header“ section in the EventsPass portal
4 Copy the GTM code <body> tag from the GTM portal and paste it into the “GTM Body“ section in the EventsPass portal
5 Click here to view the EventsPass GTM setup template. Right-click and save the template with .json extension. Open this template in any text editor and make the following changes:
◦ Replace the text “G-XXXXXXXXXX“ with your GA4 “Measurement ID” (in 1 location)
◦ Replace the text “GA4 - Config Tag“ with the text “Newport Bt Show - Config Tag“ (in 2 locations)
◦ Replace the text “GA4 - Event Tag“ with the text “Newport Bt Show - Event Tag“ (in 1 location)
◦ Do NOT remove or modify the EventsPass GA4 Measurement ID “G-2TKGTMDPE7“ and EventsPass GTM Tags “EventsPass - Config Tag“ and “EventsPass - Event Tag“ in the GTM Setup template
6 In the Google Tag Manager “Admin“ section, select the “Import Container“ option and upload the EventsPass GTM Setup template containing your GA4 Measurement ID. Ensure the container selected has the same GTM code above
7 Create a “New Workspace“ named “Newport Bt Show“ and select the “Overwrite“ option. This will import the GTM container configuration
8 Click on the “View Detailed Changes“ option and confirm the below-mentioned tags and triggers are added to your workspace
9 Click “Confirm“ to complete the container import
10 Publish the changes to your GTM container by clicking the “Submit“ button
11 Select the “Save“ button at the bottom of this page in the EventsPass portal

Note: Now you are ready to test the GTM integration and start adding additional tracking codes/pixels into the GTM account, if you need them.
