Google Ads Optimisation

I have a Google Ads account that has been running many years, recently CPC costs have started to rise. Whilst its not my main source of leads its worth optimising the account for a lower CPC, my thought was to switch to a smart campaign however this may not be the best way forward.
Can you quote to optimise the account, then in a month check back and make sure your optimisations are working. Thanks
