GTM Data Layer Trigger Update
Budget: $10 – $15 USD
I already have Google Tag Manager connected to GA4 and Google Ads and everything is firing correctly. I now want to improve one piece of that setup.
Goal
• Replace the existing listener for my signup form with a data-layer–based trigger.
What I need you to do
1. Add a dataLayer.push that fires when the form is submitted (Form submission event).
2. Include only the event name in that push, nothing else.
3. Create or modify the GTM trigger so it listens for this event and continues to send the conversion to both GA4 and Google Ads exactly as it does today.
4. Validate the setup in Preview/Debug, GA4 DebugView, and Google Ads to confirm the hit lands with the correct parameters.
5. Hand over a short recap of the steps you took so I can replicate them in other containers if needed.
The rest of the container and conversion logic is in place; I just need this single trigger swapped to the data layer approach.
