Conversions are counting twice,
multiple warnings on google ads saying incorrectly set up
see attached images.
Only hiring someone who can complete within 4 hours I will select someone in 2 hours and need it completed within 2 hours after
The conversion numbers I see in Google Ads never line up with the sales data inside Shopify, and I’m convinced it’s because I have too many tags and old conversion actions lingering in the account. I want a clean slate and a single source of truth.
Here is exactly what I need done:
• Remove every legacy Google Ads conversion action, duplicate pixel, and stray tag that might still be firing.
• Re-establish tracking exclusively through the native Shopify Google & YouTube channel app—no extra scripts, no Tag Manager containers unless the app itself requires it.
• Confirm that the purchase event reported by Shopify matches the conversions column in Google Ads in real time (or as close as Google’s attribution window allows).
• Validate that there is only one global site tag on the storefront, firing once per page.
• Provide a short hand-over note explaining what was deleted, what was kept, and where to look if I ever need to troubleshoot again.
I have used the Shopify Google app before, so reconnecting it should be straightforward once the clutter is gone. The main deliverable is an accurately reporting conversion setup that I can trust for bid strategies and ROAS calculations.
If you have handled similar Shopify–Google Ads clean-ups and can show me verified results, let’s get started right away.
