WHAT THIS IS
We are building a 3D platformer in Godot. The central character is a spider spirit who can traverse nearly any surface. The game is comic book cell-shaded, deliberately low poly, and built around the fantasy of fluid, expressive movement across floors, walls, and ceilings.
The character is the face of our company. His design, personality, and movement are all load-bearing parts of a larger creative vision. The game needs to reflect that from the ground up.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
A playable traversal prototype. One focused milestone with one question to answer: does the movement feel great?
This is not a vertical slice. There is no final art, no enemies, no UI, no audio. It is a character on a test map proving that the core fantasy works, built in a way that is clean enough to grow from.

WHAT YOU ARE WORKING WITH
You will receive a game-ready character rig. The visual identity and character design are established. Your job is to make him move.
Engine: Godot
Character: Game-ready rig provided
Test environment: You build this. Simple geometry is fine: flat ground, a wall, a ceiling, some curved surfaces
Timeline: To be agreed
Compensation: Paid contract
NDA: Required before any project materials are shared

DELIVERABLES
• Playable prototype build (PC)
• Character moves correctly across floors, walls, and ceilings with seamless surface transitions
• Momentum-based movement that feels responsive and fluid
• Dash and burst movement implemented
• Basic web interaction roughed in (pull or attach, does not need to be final)
• Movement system architected with animation integration in mind. State machine structure should be clean and extendable so a full animation layer can be dropped in at the next phase without requiring a rebuild
• Clean, documented code ready for handoff or continued development
• Brief notes on any technical decisions made and why

WHO YOU ARE
You have shipped something in Godot or are deep enough in it that you can own it on this project. You care about movement feel. You know that a traversal system lives or dies by its camera and you have thought about that problem before. You write clean, readable code because you understand that someone else will be building on top of it. You are comfortable working lean with clear direction and minimal hand-holding.
