Godot 4 3D Top-down Character Controller

I need a character controller for a 3D top-down game using Godot 4+
Key Requirements:
- CharacterBody3D based player scene
- Movement with WASD keys
- Independent aim with mouse
- Player also rotates when necessary
- Camera follows player
Detailed overview:
As seen in the attached mockup image, I need a Top-down orthographic type view (although the scene will be 3D).
I need to be able to move the player controller with the WASD keys. The aiming of the player is done by the mouse and independent to the movement of the player, e.g the player could be walking north, but using the mouse, able to look around in any direction.
If the mouse moves too far in one direction however, then the player should also rotate, for example in a 45° angle. Example: player is facing perfectly north, mouse moves far enough to the right that the player should then move 45° to the right to keep the aim in the players FOV and make it appear more natural.
We could attach a SpotLight3D as a child node to visualise where the player is looking.
Finally, the player needs to have a Camera3D attached so that when walking, the level scene is also kept in view.
Additional information can be provided but the project should not be too difficult for someone with basic math skills and Godot experience.
