Video Game Godot 3D Racing Template Demo
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I have a complete racetrack, fully-textured car models, environment props, and the accompanying audio ready to go. What I need now is a single-level demonstration project built in Godot that I can later clone and expand into a full 3D racing game.
The demo should showcase balanced car handling—somewhere between arcade and pure simulation—so players feel both responsive drift and believable weight transfer. Please wire up the following core mechanics inside the scene: lap counting that reliably registers crossings of the start/finish line, clearly marked speed-boost zones that give temporary acceleration, solid collision detection with barriers and other cars, integrated audio cues, and a simple points system that rewards clean laps and boost usage.
Because all visual and audio assets are supplied, your focus is on scripting, scene organisation, and tidy project structure. When I open the project I want to see well-named nodes, reusable scripts, and comments that explain how to swap in new tracks, cars, or UI elements.
Deliverables
• A Godot project folder (stable version) with the scene ready to run
• Modular scripts for vehicle physics, boost logic, lap/point tracking, and collisions
• A brief README noting where to drop new assets and tweak key variables
If everything loads in one click and each mechanic performs as described above, I’ll consider the delivery complete and release the milestone.
