POC of CI/CD pipeline using GitLab for Databricks

Need to have a CI/CD pipeline for Databricks using GitLab. we have a repo with notebooks in dev environment and I need to have a pipeline which does basic code syntax checks before and after merge request and deploy that into prod environment when there is any new merge request happened.
