legacy village app.
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m creating a lightweight social-networking web app and need an experienced developer to take it from Figma concepts to a live Firebase-hosted build, all version-controlled in GitHub.
Core scope
• Social networking focus with two essential functions: rich user profiles and a real-time messaging system.
• Phone-number verification must be the only sign-up / log-in flow, handled through Firebase Authentication.
• The UI is already sketched in Figma; I’ll share the file so you can translate each screen into responsive, accessible HTML/CSS/JS (React or vanilla—open to your recommendation).
• Firebase will power authentication, Firestore or Realtime Database for conversations and profile data, and Cloud Functions where server logic is unavoidable.
• Every commit should land in a clean GitHub repo with concise messages so I can follow your progress and review pull requests.
Deliverables
1. Complete, organised GitHub repository with README covering local setup and deployment steps.
2. Deployed web app on Firebase Hosting (or a preview channel) matching the Figma design.
3. Short hand-off document outlining database structure, auth rules, and how to extend features.
Acceptance criteria
– Users can register and log in via SMS code; failed or repeated attempts are gracefully handled.
– Authenticated users can create/edit a profile (avatar, bio, basic details) and see others’ profiles.
– Real-time one-to-one messaging works across two browser sessions without refresh.
– All screens are responsive down to 360 px width and pass basic Lighthouse accessibility checks (>90).
– No build or console errors.

If you have solid Firebase experience, an eye for clean UI implementation, and can work transparently in GitHub, let’s get started.
