Migrate GitLab Repos to GitHub
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need my existing GitLab setup—both the Vue.js frontend and the Node.js backend—fully migrated to GitHub with every commit, branch, tag, and issue preserved. Once the code lives on GitHub, it has to be wired into Bolt.new so that the same automated tests, builds, and deploy hooks run exactly as they do today.
The current structure is a monorepo with two root-level folders, /frontend and /backend, and GitLab CI pipelines that build Docker images and push them to a private registry. I want equivalent GitHub Actions (or another suggested GitHub-native workflow) that produce the same artifacts and trigger Bolt.new just as the GitLab jobs do now. Environment variables, secrets, and any webhook endpoints for Bolt.new must be migrated or recreated so I can switch over without downtime.
Deliverables
• Two private GitHub repositories (or a single monorepo if that proves cleaner) containing the full Git history
• GitHub Actions workflow files replicating current CI/CD, including Docker build and push steps
• Bolt.new integration verified: a sample pull request should trigger the pipeline and report back success
• A concise migration log explaining every step so future updates are straightforward
