GitHub revive BEMT
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I hope this message finds you well. As we continue our endeavors to support the research community and improve our biobank operations, I am reaching out to you with a specific request concerning the Biobank Economic Modeling Tool (BEMT).
To provide a brief background, BBRB had developed the BEMT as a vital resource for the biobanking community. This web-based financial planning tool was crafted to deepen our understanding of the economic aspects when initiating, operating, and maintaining a biobank. It was a key instrument in long-term financial planning and cost recovery for biobanks like ours.
While the official BEMT tool has since been retired, I am pleased to share that the entire code for this tool has been made publicly available on GitHub. You can access it via the following link: https://github.com/NCIP/BEMT.
Given your expertise and our past collaborations, I am reaching out to you to explore the possibility of implementing and, if necessary, updating the BEMT tool from the available GitHub code. Our goal is to make it functional again to assist in our biobank's financial planning endeavors.
If you're interested, I'd like to discuss the project scope, your estimated timelines, potential challenges you foresee, and of course, your fees. Kindly review the provided GitHub repository and let me know your thoughts.
We firmly believe that reintroducing the BEMT tool into our workflow can significantly bolster our biobank's financial operations and planning. I am confident in your abilities to make this a reality for us.
Thank you for considering this request. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
