Git configuration setting for diff, difftool

I need urgently someone helping me with setting up git with external diff tool. I had it working and then I changed the .config file and it stopped working and now I can't get it back.
Looking for someone to connect to my PC (Teamviewer) and check my git settings and see if you can make things right again.
I assume it's 5 min job for someone experienced with git.
