C++ Development & Codebase Support

Job ID: 39751812

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I need an experienced C++ programmer who feels equally comfortable improving an existing codebase and building fresh functionality from scratch. The current repository contains several modules that require refactoring, debugging, and feature extensions, and I also have new components in mind that have yet to be architected.

C++ is the primary language for everything in this project. If you have a knack for integrating C++ services with other stacks—say Python for quick scripting or JavaScript for front-end hooks—that flexibility is welcome, but the core work remains native C++. Solid knowledge of modern standards (C++17 or newer), memory management, and clean, testable design patterns will be critical. Version-control discipline (Git), clear commit messages, and concise in-code documentation are expected so the hand-off is painless.

Deliverables will be accepted when:
• All updated and new code compiles without warnings on GCC/Clang and passes the provided unit tests.
• Any newly written modules come with brief build instructions and inline comments that match the style of the repository.
• A short summary file describes the changes made, the rationale behind key decisions, and any follow-up considerations.
