Project Overview:
We are looking to adapt and enhance the existing 'Praise Bot' from GitHub (https://github.com/givepraise/praise) for use on Telegram. The focus is on integrating AI-driven categorization, maintaining the analytics dashboard, and ensuring the bot functions effectively in Telegram's environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Adapt the existing Praise Bot for Telegram, ensuring functionality and compatibility.
Modify the command structure to suit our requirements (e.g., changing /praise to /danke).
Implement an AI system to categorize praises into 11 predefined categories and allow for future category customization by admins.
Maintain and adapt the analytics dashboard from the original bot for admin use, including /whois and /whatsup features.
Ensure the bot integrates smoothly with Jupyter Notebooks and Observable for in-depth data analysis and interactive visual representations.
Set up the bot to function independently in multiple Telegram channels/discussion groups.
Ensure all changes and adaptations are published under the GPL-3.0 license.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong experience with the Telegram Bot API.
Proficiency in AI and machine learning, particularly in Natural Language Processing (NLP).
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Jupyter and Observable.
Familiarity with GPL-3.0 licensing and open-source development.
Ability to set up and manage databases for storing bot data.
