Vintage photo restoration via GIMP, small project

For GIMP expert, old black-and-white photo retouching needed, single
I have an old black-white photograph scanned in TIFF, the photo has faded with time and has some minor imperfections.
I'd want to retouch it, to improve sharpness and detail use GIMP. Not AI.
Using GIMP, I want it carefully retouched so the shades look true again, small blemishes disappear, and the overall image appears sharper without losing its vintage charm.

You’ll be working on:
• Color correction to restore natural tones
• Noise Reduction
• Spot and blemish removal (dust, scratches, minor marks)
• Subtle sharpening of key details so faces and textures look crisp in print

I need:
• The fully layered .XCF file so I can review or tweak later
• A high-resolution JPEG/PNG ready for printing and web use
