write a book about my life
Budget: $5,000 – $10,000 AUD
DISCLOSURE
I need someone to help me write a book about my life's journey. The disclosure I want to make is that this is going to be an emotional journey for both of us and may not be something you want to take on. Please read on and see if this is a job for you.
The book will start from the day I was born, when my father tried to kill me, and will continue to today, where I am a successful lawyer in Sydney, Australia, and a very contented 58-year-old woman. The first 20 years of my life were marked by a lot of violence, sexual abuse, torture and fear, so the person who will assist me to write this book must be able to emotionally handle this, and not let it affect them.
The next 20 years of my life were marked by depression, fear, anxiety and substance abuse (alcoholism, primarily), which assisted me in dealing with the trauma I carried, while trying to raise a child, get a higher education, start a career in law and then (when I was about 37) watch myself crash and burn due to a mental breakdown, and become homeless.
Somewhere in the last 20 years of my life is where I made a conscious decision that I have had enough pain and suffering. There were two clear choices I had. I took the second one and, ultimately, turned my life around. At this point in my book, you will take a journey with me out of my breakdown and through my spiritual, mental and emotional (working on the physical :)) transformation, which, I have been told by people that witnessed it, is nothing short of amazing and inspirational (in fact, it is people in my life who have prompted me to write this book). This part of my life will be much easier to talk and write about :).
The reason I want to write this book is (1) ME. I want to take my life experience out of my head and put it all on paper, in an orderly fashion, and read it ... because I cannot believe I survived it, (2) to help my (well-adjusted, but hurt) 36 year old daughter (if she chooses to read it) understand where her mother comes from, and (3) hopefully help others identify with me and reclaim their life (maybe someone with similar experiences as me, or maybe someone who believes that because they cannot afford expensive professional treatments they are stuck in the desperate state they are in, which is not true. I know for a fact that the answers to everything are within us, not a 3rd party; we just need to know where to look).
I am very well spoken (I am a lawyer :)) and can write quite expressively, creatively and eloquently, however, there are two reasons why I cannot (and do not want to) write this book myself: (1) it is difficult to agitate my past and not relive it and re-feel it, which I want to do as little as possible of (someone else writing it will allow me to spend as little time reliving it as practically possible), and (2) due to the first reason, I simply cannot get myself to sit down and start writing; my mind and body simply refuse.
I am very down to earth, introvert but friendly, and have been called the "eternal optimist". I am a very different person to what I used to be, so I will not be difficult to work with.
I am looking for someone with a proven experience in ghost-writing, preferably non-fiction.
If you think this is a job for you, please contact me, and let us talk.
IMPORTANT: I prefer a FEMALE writer.
Thank you.
