Ghost writers brief

The title should give away the positioning of the storyline of this non-fiction book, “The Accountants Guide on how not to build a P/Drug Lab”.

Over my years of experience, I have come across a number of situation experienced by a number of clients, all with a business learning from it from getting into partnerships with the wrong people to relying on an insurance broker regarding a claim and narrowly missing out on a payout as a result.

The book is positioned to take a bunch of these client stories as an amusing entry point into a business lesson about what to look out for and why, then providing a frame work or set of points on how to avoid making the same mistakes.

The book is also to guide those who are at any level of experience in business but are passionate about expanding or growing their business, and that doing so should be structure and considered, rather than hyped and ego driven. I have a few good stories about to guys who have a great idea or best intensions but railroad in a direction that end up being a disaster and destroying their relationship.

What I am looking for is someone to take these stories and flesh them out in a way that is easy to read and preserves the amusing aspects of the story, but finishes in a way where the learnings and the “sign posts” alone the way are pretty clear.

The reading should be easy and we plan to have two “uses” for the book, the first to support our accounting firm’s marketing and the second to be a book that could be sold instore.

I am looking for a first run of about 10-15,000 words and have a skeleton for most of the topics and from there would look to add topics in second or third revisions of the book depending on the success.

The material would generally be recorded as an audio file for each of the sections.

We would like to launch the book by the end of 2022, so the timeline would be:

Partner with a writer by Feb 2022

Delivery the material for the topics March/ April 2022

First draft June 2022

Revision & editing completed July 2022

Formatting and presentation August / September 2022

Printing October

Launch November 2022
