A life well lived - Family Memoir

My mother was brought up in a small industrial town in South Wales, UK born just before the war....well educated, all important to this close knit Welsh family - muscial, excellent pianist...doted on by her three spinster aunties (all potential marriage options eradicated during the war), therefore all three remained in their original family home. True characters and totally devoted to my mother and her two brothers and then later to us (great nieces and nephews). My mother, as she was a good student, was offered a place at Cardiff University to study music, English and Italian...but by then she had met my father (while playing tennis), their first night together (some 2 or so years later) resulted in my brother's birth and my mother leaving university hastily for a 'quick fix' no fuss wedding and claims of my brother being premature (frequently questioned as he was 'thriving' for a premature baby .....this story had been especially concocted for the benefit of her very strict, rigid mother.

My mother will relate the rest - it is for her to write (with your help) her memoirs - tone can be humorous at times.....there are many amusing anecdotes and it should not be a depressing account but lively, human and honest!!

Note to writers: My mother is now not so mobile BUT mentally she is extremely alert and present - she would love to talk about her life and then see it in print as a memoir for all (as she is now a great grandmother, five great-grandchildren)...as well as contact via email or WhatsApp - sometimes a Zoom or two with her could help with material gathering for the piece.
