Scriptwriter for “Fake Crime” YouTube Channel – Hyper-Realistic Fictional Crime Stories (3 Scripts/Month, 20-min)
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
We're launching a crime YouTube channel where nothing is real—but everything feels real. These are fictional crime stories written as if they were pulled straight from police files, local news, or trial transcripts.
Think:
“Psycho Obsessive Wife Ends in Deadly Torture”
“Housewife’s Affair with Neighbor’s Son Turns into Murder”
“Twisted Honeymoon Secret That Ended in Blood”
The goal? Viewers shouldn’t be able to tell it’s fake. If you can write like that, we want you.
---
What You’ll Do
- Create 20-minute scripts (~2,800–3,200 words) that sound like true crime documentaries
- Produce 3 scripts per month (bulk order)
- Make it feel visceral and plausible—down to character names, cities, police statements, and dialogue
- Try to find video footage from bodycam/other sources that we can use (Optional/Experimenting)
What We're Looking For
- Writers who understand how to build suspense without relying on jump scares or action
- Detail-heavy storytelling—every line should create mental imagery
- Familiarity with the tone/style of channels like True Crime Cases Studio
- Writers who can craft “deadly obsessions, taboo affairs, and violent turns” into cinematic arcs
Topics
You’ll pitch ideas. They must be:
- Shockingly believable
- Based on taboo themes (cheating, jealousy, control, twisted fantasies)
- Set in everyday American life
- Entirely fictional, but feel like true stories
Format & Expectations
- Word Count: 2,800–3,200
- Turnaround: Let us know
- Rate: $30–$60 USD per script (you can quote your preference)
- AI Writing: Allowed only as a tool. The final script must be rewritten, deeply humanized, and original. No AI dumps.
Footage Suggestions (Required in Script)
Include visual references to help our editors.
Examples:
“A quiet suburban street at night (royalty-free B-roll)”
“Police line tape over a residential driveway”
“AI-generated 2006-style photograph of a couple smiling at a family BBQ”
To Apply
Start your proposal with the word “Evidence.”
Share 2–3 relevant YouTube-style script samples
Confirm your availability for 3 scripts per month, with your delivery per script (or 3 scripts bulk)
Quote your per-script rate ($30–$60 range)
(Optional) Pitch a fictional video title + a 2-sentence hook to prove you know the vibe
Bonus if You…
- Have experience with fiction writing, screenwriting, or true crime storytelling
- Know how to create titles like:
“Housewife’s Fantasy Turned to Obsession and Murder”
- Can recommend AI image prompts for thumbnails
- Can write with the emotional sharpness of a docuseries
- If you can craft fake crime stories so real they make people search for the case afterward, this is your dream job.
Note: The attached examples of scripts, 'Ritual Sacrifice' and 'Women In Concrete', are our initial attempts. Don't take them as hard references. We want scripts better than these. We need an experienced storyteller who can keep the audience hooked. When this channel gets monetized, your per-script rate would be increased. Check the attached 'Fake Crime.pdf' for more info.
Let’s build something dark, gripping, and binge-worthy.
