Researcher/writer for historical fiction novel
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I'm turning a screen play I've written into a novel and am on draft 1 of this process, working with The Writers Studio in Sydney to achieve this. I need someone who can take research I have an expand on it and insert it into the novel. Job is also to format what I have as a lot is in basic script format and needs to be re-written to be novel style.
This job is about helping me pull together the pieces as I am focused on the synopsis and just cannot get to the background info which will add so much to the story, eg fleshing out where the characters are. The story is set in Paris in 1911, a fascinating time in history with so much change pre WW1.
If you have opinions on the story they are very welcome too, although this job is really to help me by inserting colour found in the research and making suggestions on what the characters would be wearing, eating, how their homes look etc. It is also formatting and ensuring the action stays in past tense - the script is in present tense.
We will agree deliverables each week.
